I'm starting a series on family members & their creativity. I have many that are super talented & I will share them with you!
He's talented. He always has a project. From painting waves on a wall in his home to designing and building a dune buggy to reupholstering a pontoon boat that he bought.
Then there's the entrepreneur side of him. He creates and designs t shirts, decals for vehicles + more.
His latest adventure that bug sis has to brag on him about are his sewing skills.
He bought a pontoon boat that needed a little love.
First he asked me to reupholster the seats and I kindly declined. It was a big project. My machine isn't industrial at all and I'm really good at saying no (all thanks to the reading of Boundaries).
Onward he went. He searched for the right fabric. He searched eBay and Craigslist for the perfect machine. He found 2. The first one was OK, the second one was a perfect fit.
And so it began.
If someone wants something bad enough, they will strive to achieve that goal. That includes educating + checking sources to find the path to that goal.
Adam was not going to buy new seats. Easy way out + a lot of money.
He could have paid someone to sew them for him but why when he can figure it out himself.
So with only the old seat covers as his pattern, he went to work in his spare time on teaching himself how to sew while trying to make the covers without royally messing them up.
He did a fabulous job. I've seen it with my own eyes. Today he posted the cover for the helm on FB, which prompted this post.
Impressive right?
If you want something bad enough (better job, weight loss, project), you will figure a way to achieve it no matter what.
Nice job Adam!
