You can wish on every star but it won't happen if you don't hit the ground running, right?
What are your dreams & goals for 2013?
At the end of 2012, I was amazed & thankful for the year that lil' alice had. And it's great to reflect on the year & look back but it's also important to look ahead for 2013. I started writing down my dreams for lil' alice at the end of the 2012. Now they became goals.
One of goals that I will share with you is, I wanted to find a Brick & Mortar shop to display & sell lil' alice. A Brick & Mortar shop is a storefront building, as opposed to an online shop such as Etsy. During the holidays I had time to surf the internet with a plan to find & make some connections.
And on Jan. 2, that is what I did!
So without further ado, lil' alice will be in Breads & Threads, located in Lake Orion (2386 Joslyn Rd, Lake Orion). I shipped my box of 79 items to the owners home last week. Tomorrow, Feb. 2, is the Grand Opening. I won't be able to make it to the Grand Opening but I do have plans on making a road trip up there, once the weather breaks!
If you live in the area, please stop in. Breads & Threads is a lovely place. Linette makes bread that is to die for, I hear. I talked to her on the phone last week & this is her dream becoming a reality! There are several local talented artists that have their beautiful items displayed throughout the store, including Allison of The Golden Sycamore.
Did I expect to reach a goal on the 2nd day of the New Year? No!
Was this a first attempt? No, there were several polite, "No thank you?" along the way. But I didn't quit & I didn't give up!
Again, I ask, what are your goals for 2013? Write them down. This is the first year I wrote down goals because I was afraid of disappointment & afraid I wouldn't be able to reach them. But after writing them down, I felt empowered & I had a focus to look back on when I become side tracked.
