This week I'm camping with my husband and the boys. This will probably be our last camping trip Up North for the season. The weather is already changing. The nights are cooler. I add a sleeping bag to the top of the quilt each night. I'm thankful I packed my flannel pants.

Summer is coming to an end. I get this sad feeling each year as summer draws to a close and a new school year begins.

Another year has passed us by. My boys are entering the next grade. A reminder that we aren't getting any younger. Life is constantly moving.

Tomorrow husband heads home. He has to report to work. We will miss him and I will try my best to entertain myself and the boys.

We don't have a television and a dish at the site.

I have a few things on the agenda to keep us busy.

No fancy meals are planned.

My little guy has earned his outdoorsmans badge. He can build a fire without cheater fluid. It's pretty promising that we may get a s'more for dessert one night.

If not, there's plenty of ice cream shops around.

Is this the lighthouse at Silver Lake on Lake Michigan? We go there a lot, my husband's parents own property there (we live closer to Lansing) but we LOVE to go camping there <3

Ha! I was just going to ask the same thing! My husband and I lived in Ludington for a year and a half and I know exactly where this lighthouse is. We visited it a few times! We live near Detroit now, but are thinking of taking a little trip up there in October for a short visit.
