Iris & her sweet family were moving back to Texas where their family lives!  A few girlfriends & I needed a reason to buy baby presents, so we decided to give her a party & bless her socks off!  She thought it was just a "Goody-Bye Party" but it was more than that.  I whipped up a banner out of the quilt fabric.  Iris loved it when she saw it and right then decided that it was what Baby Jomari was having for his crib set!

And I was commissioned to making it..... gulp!  It was a challenge that I was eager to take on.

The Diaper Bag was made...... from my head.  I pictured what I wanted and drew it up and measured accordingly, then sewed it all together!  I didn't buy a pattern for it or look one up online!

The quilt backing is MINKY which is yummy soft fabric.  I made Jomari a taggy blanket for his shower with this material!  The top of the quilt is flannel fabric.  I made the binding out of coordinating fabric!  I tied the quilt throughout with thin brown ribbon!

The crib sheet was a last minute add on.  I couldn't have a complete set without a sheet.  So I looked up measurements and whipped it together!

I looked up the size of a crib mattress and made the crib skirt from those measurements!

I bought the bumper pads and that came with a pattern for the ties and covers.

It is being shipped today!!!!

SQUEAL!!!

I have a show tomorrow night.  It was a last minute booking and so therefore I have literally been sewing my brains out for the past couple weeks.  My house will tell you that statement is true!

Here's a sneak peak at just a few of the items that will be there!

Also, a huge thanks to my girlfriend, Mary Yeager, for designing my new business cards!  You can see them in the photo with the flower hair pin attached to it.  On the back of the card (not shown) gives all my contact information & website info!  Love them? Love them!

Today I am having a giveaway over here.  Darcy has a wonderful site.  She is a photographer and shares a lot of info on her site about how to take great pictures.  I can promise I will be reading all her entries on photography!  She was kind enough to let me take up precious real estate her site for the day!  I am giving away a $40 shop credit.  Hop on over and learn how you can enter!

Do you see the Crayon Roll Up..... this is a great way to keep tiny hands busy when going out to eat or for visiting Grandma!  I whipped this up the other day for a lil' man's 3rd Birthday!
