I took one of these beauties in to the local sew + vac repair shop. The nicest gentleman is behind the counter + his friend is the guy that has fixed my machines in the past. He comes in once a week to repair sewing machines. I fully trust his work + his opinions on what I bring in. I got the machine back in less than a week & I couldn't be happier with how it run.
I am not the gal that needs to newest sewing machine with all the gadgets and is computerized. I find that I use a simple straight stitch + white thread 99% of the time! So my wants are not many.
I am content with simple!
Originally, thought I had 7 that I could savage + sell but I ended up with 5. And I sold all 5 of them!
I kept 6 total for myself.
If you are ever looking to purchase a sewing machine, ask a family member or online for a used one. Why? Because honestly, the new ones are considered disposable. They are plastic + parts break very easily. This entire machine is metal. This particular model was made between 1960-1970 + there wasn't a broken piece on any of them.
