You thought I was moving didn't you?  Thought I was giving you a grand tour of the new digs.

Nope!

But I do have a new gig once a month.

Over at a different home.

You can visit me at Love Stitched.   Our sweet host is Brittany.  There are 7 contributors, including me.  They are beautiful & talented.  I can't wait to see what everyone submits to the blog!
lil' alice will be giving sewing lessons.  Simple. Sewing. Lessons.

I don't pay much attention to what level of sewing skill some of the stuff I whip up might be.  Brittany suggested simple sewing skills, so that made me think about the techniques I use and what level they fall into.

On my white board in my Studio, I have a list of ideas to submit to Brittany on a monthly basis.

If you have any ideas or suggestions, please leave a comment on here.

After you leave a suggestion, hop on over to Love Stitch

One of the new items for 2012 is the EcoFriendly Snack Bag!  Perfect for on the go snacks & for packing in the kids lunches!  The zippers allow the food to stay fresh!  I posted on the lil' alice Monthly E-news for testers that were willing to put the bag to the test and give positive & negative feedback on this item!  I have received the responses back & I wanted to share them with you!

Ladies, thank you for putting them to the test & giving honest feedback.  I appreciate the positive & negative feedback, it only can improve the product & raise my standards.  That's the point of the testing & I appreciate you taking part it in!

Katie in Minnesota says:My first impression when unpacking the product was that I could not believe the pouch had been hand crafted. It looked as though a lot of time and effort went into the creation process. I was more than pleased with the fabric, the lining, and professionally packaged the pouch was. One thing I felt was a "con" at first, was that the material would get dirty/worn after minor use because of the zebra print, however, I have been toting it everywhere with me and have not seen any dirt. It has been lugged around in multiple bags of mine and tossed around at home and has not rubbed on anything to make the material look worn. I have mostly used this to carry small packaged items such as candy and snacks, but I also carried opened snacks and really like the concept of the reusable snack bags. I am a clean/neat one and hate for things to have crumbs, but you can turn this pouch inside out and get rid of crumbs easily. It doesn't appear that the crumbs will stick hard to the lining. A little water should do the trick if needed. Overall, I would love to have more items from lil alice as I am certain no item will disappoint. The items appeared to be well crafted before I had one in my possession and now that I do, that appearance stands true. I look forward to using my reusable snack pouch over and over again. I may even use as a lipstick case in the future as its too cute to not use daily. :-)

Laurie in Ohio says: The lil’ alice reusable fabric snack bag has been a wonderful addition to my teacher and student’s school lunch packing.  I have used it to help portion control snacks…it is the perfect size for 100 calorie choices.  It holds both dry and semi-moist items from carrots to” popchips”!  It is easily wiped clean and since it turns completely inside out nothing remains in the bag.  It doesn’t retain the smell of foods placed in it.  I suggest you turn in inside out when empty till the next usages.  I want one in a bit larger size for sandwiches too.  I love that it doesn’t make a wet spot on my desk as I snack late in the day!  The fabric colors are adorable.   My kids want them for their lunch boxes too.

Stasi in Michigan saysI LOVE the bag. It fits great in her lunch bag and Alexa loved opening it, she said it was surprise to see what her snack was. The food stayed fresh in there and even over night. It held a great amount of food too. Apple straws, muffins, goldfish etc. It was handy. The apple straws are crumbly and get sugar on the bottom esp in the corners, I would just flip the liner out and wipe it really well. I did wash it and if it was still damp I just threw it in the dryer for a few. I did wash it in the washing machine too and put in the dryer t and it washed well and dried well. I like it so much that I am having lil' alice make me some more! Seriously a great product and great quality.

Are you familiar with the iPhone app Instagram?  It's seriously one on the main reasons I wanted an iPhone.  I love photography, I covet big lenses on the end of fancy cameras.  I look for beautiful and unusual settings that I can take pictures of my kids at.

On my iPhone I have to date 10 photo apps.  That number could change by tonight to like 15.

I had my phone for 3 months and had over 500 pictures on my iPhone.  I dumped them all into iPhoto on my computer and deleted them on my phone.  Within 6 weeks I have about 200 on it.

I may have a problem!

Hi, my name is Katy and I have a photo problem.

My other problem, I barely carry my point n shoot camera anymore because the iPhone takes great pictures.

Without further ado.... Here's a glimpse of my life thru Instagram!
